What do you feel about regret? Especially related to tattoos. But not only. The mark that can’t be taken away and you can’t pretend never happened. How many times has worry over regret thrown a wrench in your plans? What is the regret really about, even? When have you had the courage to say fuck it and do the thing anyway? Relinquish your power over to the thing.
If regret is a shadow cast over a choice, maybe we just have to identify what moves us away from it. I’ve heard it referred to by many names: intuition, spirit, demons, yourself. I have so many questions. I go and I ask all my friends to chime in, like their advice softens the fear of the reality. A trampoline at the bottom of the fall. Every time I hit, I bounce back lower and lower until it stops and I lay there, vulnerable and alone looking up at the sky through the trees, and I must roll off into the dirt. Do I want their attention or do I want their help? I’m scared to ask for help and I’ll ask for it anyway.

Me and my team of beautiful people are in pre-production for RIND SACK! A movie about a person who gets a backpiece that essentially takes over their body and mind with a sickening infection, so they cut it off. One of our biggest challenges for this film is the FX makeup for the tattoo/infection and a subsequent puppet of the skin after it’s been cut off.
